DEVILS LAKE -- North Star, the top-ranked team in North Dakota Class B basketball, is headed to the state tournament.

North Star received 26 points from Jake Hagler in a 62-36 win against Harvey-Wells County on Thursday night in the Region 4 championship game at the Devils Lake Sports Center.

North Star broke it open in the second quarter. North Star led 13-12 after the first quarter, but outscored Harvey-Wells County 15-8 in the second quarter.

North Star placed two other players in double figures. Daniel Grande added 13 points, while Grant Lindahl finished with 10.

Harvey-Wells County was led by Tucker Nordby's eight points.

The win improved North Star to 23-0 on the season. Last season, North Star reached the regional title game before losing to Carrington.

But North Star beat Carrington in the opening round of this year's regional.

In the third-place game, Warwick downed Four Winds-Minnewaukan 87-79. Melvin Langstaff scored 31 points for Warwick while Kyle Ironhawk added 28.

Four Winds-Minnewaukan was led by Christian Ironroad's 37 points.
