The North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department is scheduling snowmobile safety courses for youth ages 12 and older who do not possess a valid driver's license. These youths must attend a snowmobile safety class and pass a written exam to legally operate a snowmobile on any land not owned or leased by the child's parent or guardian.
The classes will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pioneer Heritage Center at Icelandic State Park, 5 to 9 p.m. Monday in Manvel Public School and 5 to 9 p.m. Jan. 12 in the Choice Financial Building, 38 Sixth St. W. in Grafton.
