MINNEAPOLIS -- Midway through the second period, Roseau was facing elimination from the Minnesota Class AA boys high school hockey tournament.
But the Rams rallied. And they rallied in a big way.
Roseau scored six straight goals to edge Blaine 7-5 on Friday in the consolation round of the state tournament.
The win advances Roseau into today's fifth-place game against Duluth East. The fifth-place game is scheduled for noon today at Mariucci Arena.
Roseau trailed 5-1 with roughly 12 minutes remaining in the second period. That's when Roseau began its rally, whichf was started by a Taylor Hedlund goal at 13:52 of the second. He was assisted by Adam Knochenmus, who finished with five assists.

After Hedlund's goal, Josh Erickson scored back-to-back for Roseau, followed by goals from Justin Anderson and Cole Kostrzewski, who netted the final two for the Rams.
Kostrzewski's goal at 10:36 of the third period snapped a 5-5 tie.
Roseau scored on half of its 10 third-period shots.
Knochenmus' five assists came on the six-goal flurry by the Rams, who improved to 23-6-1.
Roseau goalie Ethan Kvidt came up with 30 saves -- 22 in the first two periods.
Blaine, which finished at 21-6-3, outshot Roseau 35-28. The Bengals's were led by Gavin Tufte, who had two goals and an assist.
Blaine came into the tournament as the No. 3 seed. Roseau was unseeded.
