MEN'S BASKETBALL: UND 84, Northern Arizona 68

UND placed five players in double figures en route to an 84-68 Big Sky Conference men's basketball win over Northern Arizona on Saturday before 1,840 fans at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.

UND placed five players in double figures en route to an 84-68 Big Sky Conference men's basketball win over Northern Arizona on Saturday before 1,840 fans at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.

UND improved to 5-3 in the Big Sky and 8-10 overall while Northern Arizona dropped to 5-3 and 8-11. It was UND's third-straight win.

Jamal Webb led UND with 15 points. Cole Stefan and Aaron Anderson each added 13, while Jaron Nash (12) and Ryan Salmonson (10) also were in double figures.

UND led most of the way. NAU cut UND's seven-point halftime lead to one (45-44) early in the second half before UND went on a 9-0 run to gain a 54-44 advantage. NAU never threatened after that.

UND shot 50 percent, while NAU made 51 percent of its attempts.

Max Jacobsen led NAU with 19 points.

UND plays its next four Big Sky games on the road.
