FERTILE, Minn. -- Mariah Christian had 21 kills to lead Fertile-Beltrami past East Grand Forks Sacred Heart in a 25-16, 25-8, 25-21 win Monday.
Emilea Berhow pitched in 20 assists for the Falcons.

Matthew paces Sioux
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- Freshman Samuel Matthew shot a 3-over-par 75 in each of the first two rounds Monday to lead UND at the SIU-Edwardsville Double Tree Intercollegiate.
Matthew's score of 150 has him tied for 14th place, eight shots behind clubhouse leader Daily Young of Missouri State. Young opened with a 1-over 73 and finished the day with a 3-under 69 in the second round.
The Sioux are in eighth place in the 11-team standings with a 626 (307-319), five shots behind seventh-place Bradley and 15 strokes out of the top five.
Host SIU-Edwardsville leads the team standings with a 585 (292-293), good for a three-shot lead over second-place Evansville and four-shot cushion of third-place Missouri State.
The third and final round gets underway with an 8:15 shotgun start at the Sunsett Hills Country Club.
