Hibbert wins gold again

ASPEN, Colo. - Tucker Hibbert, who grew up in Goodridge, Minn., won his seventh consecutive gold medal in the ESPN X Games snocross event Sunday, making him the record holder for the most back-to-back gold medals of any Winter X Games athlete.

He dominated the 16-lap final, winning by 13.75 seconds over Kody Klamm.

Hibbert was the top qualifier in the first heat. He dominated the final, lapping a handful of riders in the field.

Hibbert, who previously was tied at six gold medals with snowboarder Shaun White, now is one gold medal behind BMX rider Jamie Bestwick, who won eight gold medals in a row in the Summer X Games.
