SCARBOROUGH, Ont. -- Mia Loyd's 15 points led UND to a 72-64 win over a group of Toronto-area all stars on Sunday in an exhibition game.

"I thought the team played well for the most part," UND coach Travis Brewster said. "I liked our intensity. We have a little different look to our offense this year; we did a good job handling the tweaks. It was a little quicker pace with the FIBA (international) rules."

Loyd scored eight points in UND's game-opening 10-0 run, converting a conventional three-point play, a pair of free throws followed by the first of two 3-pointers on the afternoon.

An Allyssa Wall basket made it 24-15 before the All-Stars put together a 9-0 spurt to tie the game at 24.

UND answered with 13 straight points, the first three on a Madi Buck 3-pointer. Megan Lauck had four points in that stretch and the run was complete on a left-handed hook from Erin O'Toole to make it 37-24. UND went into the break with a 39-27 advantage.

In the second half, Wall scored eight of her 14 points. Lauck finished with 13 points and Buck added 12 for North Dakota. Siri Burck finished with six points and seven rebounds.

UND will continue its Toronto exhibition tour today with a 6 p.m. game against Ryerson University.
