College volleyball

UND sweeps S.D. State: UND played two Summit League matches on Wednesday and Friday, both going the five-set distance. UND also won both.

On Saturday, UND played another Summit League match. But this one was over fairly early as the Fighting Hawks swept South Dakota State 25-22, 25-14, 25-20 at The Betty.

Jordan Vail led UND with 10 kills while Kayla Williams and Ashley Brueggeman added nine each.

Roosa Rautio added 39 assists as UND improved to 4-1 in the Summit and 12-8 overall. SDSU dropped to 0-4 and 3-14.

UND's hitting percentage was .287 while the Jacks finished at .168.

Taliyah Flores led UND in digs with 15.

UND will play at Omaha in another Summit League match on Friday before returning home next Sunday to take on Denver.

Boys soccer

EGF 6, Hibbing 1: AbdiMalik Abdi scored two goals to lead East Grand Forks Senior High to a road win Saturday. Mohammed Baarkadleh added another goal and assisted on two more for the Wave.

The Green Wave received three saves in goal from Drew Kallock.

Girls soccer

EGF 9, Hibbing 5: Kora Jordheim scored three goals to lead East Grand Forks Senior High past Hibbing on Saturday.

Brynn Hillman and Chloe Torgerson each scored twice for the Wave.

Cat Gordon had two saves in goal for Senior High while Tabitha Anderson added one.
