Alabama 5, UND 2

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - UND led 2-0 early but Alabama rallied for the win Saturday in the second game of the three-game series against the Southeastern Conference program.

The Tide rallied for single runs in each of the fourth through eighth innings.

Senior Luis Calvo and freshman Miles Lewis each had a pair of hits for UND.

“We ran into a really hot arm today; we had 15 strikeouts,” said UND coach Jeff Dodson . “We didn’t swing until we got two strikes on a lot of occasions and we were chasing a lot of stuff in the dirt. We put some good swings on it throughout but didn’t string enough together. We executed pretty well and forced some mistakes in the third but they just kept chipping away and we came up on the short end.”

UND’s Brett DeGagne allowed four hits in 5.2 innings. He allowed three runs, one earned, with five strikeouts.
