The Northern Freeze scored 42 points in the second half to beat East Grand Forks Senior High on Tuesday night. Devon Binstock led the Freeze with 17 points. Dustin Dahl added 15.
“Give them credit; they were able to make a lot of shots in the second half,” said Senior High coach Travis Lindgren.
Senior High received 22 points from Jim Warmack. Ben Bjornson added 12 and Ty Misialek 10.

EGF Sacred Heart 44
GOODRIDGE, Minn. - Tra Alderete’s 14 points led Goodridge-Grygla past East Grand Forks Sacred Heart on Tuesday.
“Overall, we played better than the last few games,” said Sacred Heart coach Sarah Hart. “Our turnovers were pretty low and defensively we picked it up. Hopefully this will give us some momentum for the next few games.”
Hunter McMillin and Dayle Larson each added 12 points for Goodridge-Grygla.
Michael Burd scored a game-high 17 points for the Eagles and Riley Hallaway added 11.

RED LAKE FALLS, Minn. - Michele Remer scored a game-high 21 points as East Grand Forks Sacred Heart defeated Red Lake Falls on Tuesday.
“The girls played really well together,” said Sacred Heart coach Joann Remer. “Our defense was better tonight and we were able to get a lot of fast-break opportunities.”
Stacy Remer and Anya Edwards each scored 20 points for the Eagles. Hannah Reimer added 10 of her own. Lexi Hagl led Red Lake Falls with 20 points.
Sacred Heart improved to 15-2.
Thief River Falls 61,
EGF Senior High 52
Brooke Yaggie scored 27 points to lead Thief River Falls over East Grand Forks Senior High on Tuesday night.
“Our shots weren’t falling for us, especially in the second half,” said Senior High coach Emily Ruemmele. “But we didn’t give up.”
Jenna Tadych added 11 points for the Prowlers.

GF KnightRiders 2
WEST FARGO - Allison Springer scored two goals to lead West Fargo over Grand Forks on Tuesday.
“We played well and did a good job of keeping them to the outside,” said Grand Forks coach Darin Schumacher. “They got one in the third that kind of broke the game open. We had good opportunities but couldn’t put them in the net.”
Janey Sandoval, Anna Promersberger, Kelly Krahn, and Courtney Walsh also scored goals for the Packers. Allison Mulroy and Lexi O’Halloran provided the offense for the KnightRiders.
Grand Forks drops to 11-10 on the season.

- Women’s tennis: The Big Sky Conference has selected UND’s Callie Ronkowski as the player of the week. Ronkowski, a junior from Grand Forks, went 3-0 over the weekend in No. 2 singles play and 2-1 in doubles play. On Friday, she won her first singles match of the weekend against Jiek Stroobant of Northern Iowa in three sets (5-7, 6-3, 1-0). On Saturday, she finished the day unbeaten, defeating her singles opponents from Creighton (6-3, 6-2) and Western Illinois (6-0, 6-0). In doubles action on Saturday, Ronkowski and her partner Faith Lee, won both of their doubles matches against Creighton (6-0) and Western Illinois (6-2).
- Men’s golf: UND wrapped up its spring-opening tournament Tuesday, posting a 311 team score to finish 10th at the Pat Hicks Invitational in St. George, Utah. That total was one more than the squad's opening-round score as junior Collin Lervick led the charge on Tuesday with a one-over 73. Sophomore Aaron Pulanco turned in a 76 to go with his opening-round 71 to lead UND in the two-day event, tying for 19th with a 147. Seattle captured the team title.
