AMHERST, Mass.-UND's Lexi Klabo put on quite a show during the Fighting Hawks' swing through New England this week.

Klabo scored 30 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in leading UND past Massachusetts 59-52 on Wednesday afternoon at the William D. Mullins Center-a win that improved the Fighting Hawks to 2-4. UMass dropped to 5-3.

On Tuesday night, Klabo finished with 30 points and 10 rebounds in a 77-63 UND loss at Rhode Island.

But the short turnaround didn't affect Klabo, who finished 11-for-19 from the field and connected on the Hawks' lone 3-pointer of the day against UMass

There wasn't much separation by either team throughout the game.

UND broke a 45-45 tie when Klabo dropped in two free throws with 5:40 to play. The lead stretched to seven when Jill Morton closed out the free throw in the closing seconds.

Morton was the only other UND player in double figures as the guard finished with 13 points, making 5 of 12 from the field.

Faith Dooley finished with seven for the Hawks.

For Klabo, it was her fourth-straight double-double. But her last two were 30-point performances.

Hailey Leidel led UMass with 14 points.

UND will play at Northern Iowa next Tuesday.

The Hawks' home opener is scheduled Dec. 7 against Milwaukee. The game will tip off at 11:30 a.m.
