What: Youth Sportsman Day.
Where: Crookston Gun Club, located 1 mile north of the University of Minnesota-Crookston on U.S. Highway 75.
When: 12:30 to 5 p.m. Sept. 20, registration begins at noon, and the event is free. Youths who register by Monday will be entered into a drawing for a Benelli Nova shotgun.
For the kids: Open to youths age 6 to 18. Archery, target shooting, sporting clays station, laser shot education, 4-H Shooting Sports, BB gun and pellet gun targets, door prizes and giveaways throughout the afternoon.
Shooting exhibition: Tim Bradley of the Benelli Shooting Team will put on a free shooting exhibition at 1 p.m. and will be on hand to visit and sign autographs throughout the afternoon.

For the adults: A Benelli representative will have several models of guns on hand, including the new Vinci, and there'll be a station for set up for adults to try out the guns.
