Q. What’s the best atmosphere you’ve ever played in?

A. I think it’s probably my first-ever game at The Ralph. Obviously, it was really exciting for all of us first-year guys. You’re kind of just in awe the first couple of minutes of the game, but it was definitely a cool environment. It was a fun game and obviously something I’ll always remember.

Q. Had you seen a game in The Ralph before then?

A. Yes, but it was probably four years ago.

Q. I assume it’s a lot different when you are on the ice?

A. Yeah, it seems a lot louder when you’re on the ice.

Q. How did you end up here?

A. It was the first place I visited when I started considering colleges and I think the second I walked into The Ralph and met the coaching staff, I told my parents that I didn’t want to visit anywhere else and this is where I want to go. It all fell into place and worked out.

Q. What’s the most painful hockey injury you’ve ever sustained?

A. I think last year I ran into the post full speed trying to drive a ‘D’ wide. I couldn’t really feel my thigh for a couple of days, so that would probably be the worst. I haven’t really had too much bad luck with any serious injuries. So far, so good.

Q. What’s your favorite song they play at The Ralph on game night?

A. Probably right after the national anthem on Saturdays. I think it’s Nickelback. I don’t know what it’s called. . . ‘Saturday Night’?

Q. What’s the most embarrassing song you have on your playlist?

A. Justin Bieber’s new album. I know that’s been pretty popular amongst the guys. We like to listen to that one.

Q. What’s on your Netflix or HBO GO queue?

A. My roommate, Shane Gersich, and I have been watching a lot of the Blacklist. We recently just finished that. It was a pretty good show.

Q. Who is your favorite pro football team?

A. I’d say the Vikings. There’s nowhere really close to Nebraska, so I usually cheer for them.

Q. Who on the team is most likely to run for political office some day?

A. I would probably say Bryn Chyzyk. He always likes to start arguments and stir the pot a little bit. Even when he knows he’s not right on something, he’ll keep arguing it until he has the guys convinced.

Q. If you were the U.S. president for a day, what would you do?

A. I’d probably visit a lot of countries and places I want to go to and probably play a lot of golf.

Q. What do you like on your pizza?

A. Barbeque chicken.

Q. Who is the most entertaining follow on Twitter?

A. There’s a Ridiculousness Vine account that posts some pretty funny things.

Q. What’s your favorite overall meal to eat?

A. Filet and mashed potatoes.

Q. Which freshman is most likely to get lost on campus?

A. Shane Gersich.

Q. What’s your favorite movie?

A. Anchorman.

Q. If you could take a selfie with one person, who would you choose?

A. Will Ferrell.
