First period

UND 1, Niagara 0 -- Jake Schmaltz (Judd Caulfield) 1:08. UND welcomes Niagara goalie Jake Sibell to college hockey by scoring 68 seconds into the game. Caulfield makes a tremendous 360-spin pass to an open Schmaltz, who snipes his second goal in as many games.

Second period

UND 2, Niagara 0 -- Jake Schmaltz (Chris Jandric, Tyler Kleven) 6:28 (pp). UND's second power-play unit is all over Niagara with chances. Sibell loses his glove in the madness around the crease and the Fighting Hawks take advantage. Schmaltz gets the puck at the top and passes to Jandric in the left circle. Jandric gives it right back and Schmaltz hammers a one-timer past Sibell's gloveless hand.

UND 3, Niagara 0 -- Jake Sanderson (Connor Ford, Ashton Calder) 11:43. UND puts Sanderson on the ice for a four-on-four and he takes advantage. Ford gives Sanderson the puck at the bottom of the left circle. Sanderson dangles across the top of the crease, moves it to his backhand and flips it home.

Third period

UND 4, Niagara 0 -- Riese Gaber (Jake Sanderson, Connor Ford) 17:01 (pp). UND tacks on another power-play goal when Sanderson leaves the puck for Gaber at the top of the right circle and Gaber snaps one through a Judd Caulfield screen for his first of the season.
