The UND hockey team will appear on CBS Sports Network twice this season.
UND's game at Minnesota Duluth on Friday, Feb. 18, and its home game against Western Michigan on Feb. 25 will both be nationally televised by the National Collegiate Hockey Conference's broadcast partner.
CBS Sports Network is set to do 11 games in all, including the NCHC Frozen Faceoff semifinals and championship game.
All 11 broadcasts will be in the second half.
CBS Sports Network has been the NCHC's national TV provider since the league formed in 2013.
The network's longtime top broadcast team has been play-by-play announcers Ben Holden, color commentator Dave Starman and rinkside reporter Shireen Saski. CBS parted ways with Holden last season after he opted to call hockey games in the NCHC Pod for Midco Sports instead of college football games for CBS Sports.
Holden called games for Big Ten Network last season and now is calling Russian superleague games, too.
CBS Sports Network has not yet announced Holden's replacement for this season, but Midco Sports play-by-play announcer Alex Heinert is believed to be a candidate. Heinert received rave reviews from fans and administrators after calling NCHC Pod games last season in Omaha.
If Heinert is the choice, he would remain at Midco but miss a handful of UND games. Midco would have to find a fill-in for those games.
Midco Sports will broadcast every UND home game this season except for the CBS Sports Network game on Feb. 25.
