UND beat Omaha 4-1 to grab a series split in Ralph Engelstad Arena.
With the win, UND improved to 17-2-2 overall and 8-1-1 in NCHC play. Omaha dropped to 9-10-3 overall and 3-6-1 in NCHC play.
UND and Omaha have played nine series in The Ralph all-time. Seven have ended in splits.
UND 1, Omaha 0 -- Casey Johnson (Ethan Frisch, Jackson Keane) 8:30. Frisch launches a point shot through traffic. The puck rebounds out to the slot, where Johnson jumps on it. On top of the crease, Omaha goalie Isaiah Saville is trying to clear out Dixon Bowen from the top of the crease. Saville trips Bowen and both players fall down right as the puck gets to Johnson. The senior fires it into the net with Saville out of the play.
UND 2, Omaha 0 -- Collin Adams (Grant Mismash, Mark Senden) 14:41. Mismash flies through the neutral zone and into the offensive zone with speed. He beats Omaha defenseman Brandon Scanlin wide and makes a nifty feed to Adams, who is cutting down the slot. Adams finishes it for No. 7 of the season.
UND 3, Omaha 0 -- Mark Senden (Cole Smith, Gavin Hain) 19:41). Hain sends the puck behind the net, where Smith and Omaha defenseman Ryan Jones race for it. Smith wins the race and taps it out to the slot, where Senden buries his second of the weekend.
UND 3, Omaha 1 -- Taylor Ward 7:05. UND goalie Adam Scheel goes behind the net to play the puck. He sends it to the corner, where Ward picks it up and throws it to the top of the crease, where it hits the skate of Colton Poolman and goes into the net.
UND 4, Omaha 1 -- Shane Pinto (Jordan Kawaguchi, Westin Michaud) 10:19 (pp). Omaha's Saville and a skater lose their sticks during the penalty kill and UND makes them pay when Kawaguchi gets the puck in the right circle, spots a seam and makes a perfect pass to Pinto in the left circle. Pinto hammers a one-timer by Saville for his 10th of the season.
