UND announces ticket purchase: Ticket packages for the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) Quarterfinals, to be hosted by the University of North Dakota from March 9-11, will go on sale to the general public and to UND students on Monday, March 5 at 10 a.m. Central.

It is the 16th straight year North Dakota will host the first round of its conference playoffs, the longest active streak in NCAA Division I men's hockey. North Dakota clinched home ice for the first round of the conference playoffs on Saturday night with a 2-2 overtime tie against NCHC champion and top-ranked St. Cloud State. The win secured the fourth and final home ice spot in the NCHC for the Fighting Hawks, who will host the Omaha Mavericks.

Series ticket packages are reserved seating and are $50 for adults, $30 for youth, and $20 for UND students. Adult and youth series packages may be purchased in person at the Box Office at Ralph Engelstad Arena or online at

Single-game tickets for the NCHC Quarterfinals will also go on sale to the public on Thursday, March 8 at 10 a.m. Central.

The NCHC Quarterfinals take place March 9, 10 and 11 (Game 3 if necessary). Game times are 7:37 p.m. on Friday and 7:07 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday (all times Central).

Northland wins title: Brooke Heggie scored 13 points to lead Northland Community and Technical College past Hibbing Community College on Sunday for the NJCAA Region 13 title.

The win advances Northland to the NJCAA Division III national tournament March 15-17 in Rockford, Ill.
