A former UND hockey player has pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and giving false information to an officer.

Joe Finley was arrested in July after an officer spotted him and UND forward Matt Frattin throwing objects from a garage into a Grand Forks street. Police said Finley gave them a false name.

Frattin, who would have been a junior, had another run-in with police in August and was subsequently kicked off the hockey team.

Finley graduated in the spring and signed with the Washington Capitals, the team that drafted him in the first round in 2005. Finley will likely start the season with Washington's American Hockey League affiliate, the Hershey Bears.
