MINNEAPOLIS – Nebraska Omaha forward Josh Archibald led the NCHC awards Thursday afternoon, taking home the league’s player of the year and forward of the year honors.
Archibald, who also was named one of 10 finalists for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award on Thursday, finished the year with 29 goals and 43 points in 37 games. He had 21 goals in 24 league games.
St. Cloud State’s Nic Dowd, the NCHC’s only other Hobey Baker Award finalist, was named the league’s defensive forward of the year and student-athlete of the year.
Other top honors went to Denver’s Joey LaLeggia (defenseman of the year, offensive defenseman of the year), Colorado College’s Jaccob Slavin (rookie of the year), Denver’s Sam Brittain (goalie of the year), St. Cloud State’s Bob Motzko (coach of the year).
