Drake 88, UND 55: UND closed out the pre-Christmas schedule Tuesday night at Drake, where the Bulldogs used a big second half en route to an 88-55 win. The Fighting Hawks dropped to 1-8 on the season.

Drake surged in the second half after the Bulldogs led 36-28 at halftime.

UND faced an opponent that was ranked inside the Mid-Major Top-25 for the fifth straight game, with Drake (9-0) sitting at No. 7 in the most-recent rankings released on Monday.

UND was led by Gertautus Urbonavicius, who finished with 16 points. Filip Rebraca added 11 points as the junior forward scored in double figures for the 17th straight game.

UND’s strongest portion of the game came in the first half when the Hawks went on a 12-0 run -- capped by a 3-pointer by Brady Danielson -- that tied the game at 21-21. But Drake responded with a 7-0 run.

UND will finally play a home game Jan. 2 against Summit League opponent Kansas City.

The Hawks also played without De’Sean Allen-Eikens, who missed his second-straight game with an injury.

UND, which committed a season-high 21 turnovers, has now lost eight-straight road games dating back to last Feb. 15, 2020.
