First period

UND 1, Miami 0 -- Jasper Weatherby (Grant Mismash, Gabe Bast) 4:54 (pp). UND's second power-play unit, which hasn't done a lot of damage in the Pod, gets UND on the board first. Weatherby flies up the right side on a rush and snaps a puck past Miami goalie Ben Kraws on the short side. It's Weatherby's third goal of the season and he's the ninth different Fighting Hawks player to score a power-play goal in the Pod.

UND 1, Miami 1 -- Jack Clement (Derek Daschke, Matthew Barbolini) 7:54. Miami counters with a goal on the rush as Clement, a defenseman, jumps to the bottom of the left circle. He has space there and Daschke finds him with a perfect feed from the top and he one-times it past UND goalie Adam Scheel.

Second period

UND 2, Miami 1 -- Riese Gaber (Griffin Ness, Jordan Kawaguchi) 3:42. Kawaguchi makes a steal along the right-side boards and gets the puck to Ness, who spots Gaber flying in on the left side of the zone. Ness makes the pass and Gaber sends a rocket past Kraws. It's Gaber's sixth goal of the Pod. Kawaguchi also will end the Pod with points in all 10 games.

UND 2, Miami 2 -- Matthew Barbolini 6:46. UND has Grade-A look after Grade-A look in the offensive zone, a couple of open nets, but can't convert because of bouncing pucks and Miami goes the other way and makes UND pay for it. Barbolini launches a wrist shot from the left circle off the post and in.

UND 3, Miami 2 -- Riese Gaber (Cooper Moore) 8:28. Moore intercepts a pass in the neutral zone and starts a rush the other way. He spots Gaber open in the slot, makes the pass and Gaber snaps his second of the game past Kraws.

UND 4, Miami 2 -- Shane Pinto (Riese Gaber, Jacob Bernard-Docker) 11:52. After Miami has some good pressure, UND puts out its top line to change the momentum, and they do. Bernard-Docker makes a nice backhand feed off the wall to Gaber, who is open at the top of the right circle. Gaber wrists a shot that Pinto re-directs past Kraws.

UND 5, Miami 2 -- Collin Adams (Grant Mismash, Ethan Frisch) 16:08. Mismash uses his speed to separate from a defender and come in alone. Kraws makes a terrific save on Mismash and another one on Frisch, but Miami leaves Adams alone on top of the crease and Mismash picks up the loose puck and feeds Adams for the goal.

Third period

UND 6, Miami 2 -- Ethan Frisch (Mark Senden) 10:18 (sh). UND tacks on a sixth goal at the end of a penalty kill. Senden enters the zone on the right side, leaves a drop pass for Frisch, who slaps one just under the bar for his second goal of the season.

Pregame notes

UND is going with the same lineup as Saturday's game, except Judd Caulfield is listed as the fourth line right wing and Carson Albrecht as the extra skater. Those two alternated shifts on the right wing of the fourth line Saturday. . . Adam Scheel is starting his eighth game in the Pod. . . UND remains without injured forward Harrison Blaisdell and World Junior defensemen Jake Sanderson and Tyler Kleven. . . Miami will start Ben Kraws in net. The RedHawks had been rolling with freshman Ludvig Persson, who has a .989 save percentage in his last three starts, but coach Chris Bergeron was wary about starting him a third time in four nights. Kraws has been strong, too, posting a .912 save percentage. . . Miami is without defensemen Bray Crowder and Hampus Rydqvist due to injuries.
