First period

UND 1, Omaha 0 -- Jacob Bernard-Docker (Jake Sanderson, Judd Caulfield) 10:07. UND gets on the board first when Bernard-Docker gets the puck at the right point. The junior defenseman makes a move to create a shooting lane, then sends the puck through three layers of screens by Brendan Budy, Shane Pinto and Caulfield and past Omaha goalie Isaiah Saville, who never saw it.

Second period

UND 2, Omaha 0 -- Jackson Keane (Jacob Bernard-Docker, Harrison Blaisdell) 6:28. UND's fourth line, having its best game in a long time, gets rewarded on the scoreboard. UND executes a three-on-three rush nicely as Blaisdell, under heavy pressure, makes a nice pass to Bernard-Docker in space. Bernard-Docker walks around Omaha defenseman Nate Knoepke, carries it to the crease and flips a backhand on net. Saville makes the initial save, but Keane follows it up for his first of the season.

UND 3, Omaha 0 -- Tyler Kleven (Collin Adams, Jordan Kawaguchi) 15:02. UND's top line gets on the board. Adams flips a pass from the top of the left circle to Kleven at the point, and the Fargo product hammers a point shot past Saville on the stick side.

UND 3, Omaha 1 -- Tyler Weiss (Jason Smallidge, Taylor Ward) 17:09. Omaha gets a key goal before the end of the second to get back in this one. Smallidge blasts a point shot wide, but it takes a long bounce off the end wall and goes to Weiss backdoor. Weiss is all alone and buries it.

Third period

UND 4, Omaha 1 -- Jasper Weatherby (Jacob Bernard-Docker, Mark Senden) 9:31 (pp). Weatherby stays red hot and his roommate, Bernard-Docker, continues his big game. Bernard-Docker makes a nice feed from the top of the zone to an open Weatherby, who snipes the corner of the net to make it five-straight games with a goal. It's Bernard-Docker's third point of the night and it's the second power-play unit's first goal in weeks.

Pregame notes

As expected, Adam Scheel returns to the lineup and will start after not dressing last Saturday. Grant Mismash remains out after sustaining an injury during last Friday's game. He will miss his second-straight game. UND is moving Riese Gaber up to right wing on the top line. Gaber is on an eight-game goal drought and putting him with the best setup guy on the team in Kawaguchi may help get him jumpstarted. Kawaguchi, who has primarily played right wing, is on the left side tonight. Joey Abate returns to the lineup for Omaha after missing four games while in COVID-19 protocol. Abate leads the nation in penalties with 15.
