UND's Fenstermacher finishes seventh
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- UND freshman Jesse Fenstermacher finished seventh in the 500 meters Friday to lead the Sioux in the opening day of the Mayo Invitational at Notre Dame.
Fenstermacher, from Hibbing, Minn., finished in 1 minute, 05.59 seconds. Western Ontario's Scott Leitch won the race in 1:03.59.
UND's Lindsey Anderson finished 17th in the 5,000 run. Her time was 17:16.17. Michigan's Taylor Pogue won the race in 16:36.73.

In the men's 5,000, UND's Josh LaBlanc placed 19th in 14:50.91.
The meet concludes today.

- College football: Brock Jensen, the starting quarterback for North Dakota State's football team, will be disciplined after being charged last month with minor in possession or consumption of alcohol. "Brock will go through the same discipline as other players we've had go through this," said Bison coach Craig Bohl, who doesn't expect Jensen will miss any games because of the infraction. Jensen, a 6-foot-2 redshirt freshman from Waupaca, Wis., was fined $325 for the infraction that occurred between Jan. 13 and 28. He was ordered 16 hours in the community work program.
