Leonard Bina of Grand Forks shared this photo of a Canada goose gosling that just had hatched May 17 in a nest along the English Coulee. A hole in another egg indicates a second gosling is about to hatch. “What surprised me was the fact that when I walked up to take the photo, the adult flew into the water about 30 feet away,” Bina writes. I by experience have been wing-whipped by adult geese - a hundred years ago!”
