Saskatchewan radio station 620 CKRM reported earlier this week that Saskatchewan Roughriders wide receiver Weston Dressler will be in Kansas City, Mo., to work out with the National Football League's Kansas City Chiefs.
Dressler's contract with the Roughriders is due to expire on Feb. 15. The 28-year-old Bismarck High and University of North Dakota product helped lead the Roughriders to the 2013 Grey Cup championship. He has spent six seasons in Saskatchewan where he has had five 1,000-yard campaigns. He was a Canadian Football League all-star in 2013.
The 5-foot-8, 180-pound Dressler has 442 career receptions for 6,531 yards and 43 touchdowns. His 70 receptions in 2013 racked up 1,011 yards and nine touchdowns. He had 16 catches, 240 yards and four scores in the playoffs.
