HARRISONBURG, VA -- The banner spring season for the University of North Dakota football team has another chance for a history moment today.
The Fighting Hawks will battle perennial title contender James Madison in the FCS quarterfinals in Harrisonburg. The winner will move on to play the winner of NDSU and Sam Houston State.
Coming into Sunday, the Dukes are a perfect 6-0, with a rushing attack that racks up the fourth most yards in the FCS and a defense that allows the fewest yards in the country.
A win would put UND in the FCS semifinals for the first time since moving up to Division One.
Grand Forks Herald writer Tom Miller and WDAY Sports' Zach Staton preview the game in Harrisonburg.
