MAYVILLE, N.D. -- One of the top teams in 9-man football will not play it's final regular season game because of COVID.
May-Port-C-G is canceling it's game against Enderlin/Maple Valley because the Patriots are dealing with coronavirus.
They aren't done playing in 2020. The Patriots confirmed that the team will be out of quarantine in time for the playoffs to begin on October 24th.
The Patriots have had a terrific regular season in 2020, with a 6-1 record, the lone blip coming against unbeaten LaMoure-Litchville-Marion.
Enderlin-Maple Valley's season comes to a close at 5-3, but the Falcons year is not completely done yet.
If Richland can beat Tri-State on Friday, the Falcons will move into the playoffs as the fourth seed as a fourth seed. If Tri-State wins, Enderlin-Maple Valley would miss out on the postseason.
