The UND football team's online roster for the 2020 season was posted Wednesday.
The latest roster provides a few insights, including a previously unreported transfer running back from Wyoming.
Austin Clemetson, a former walk-on at Wyoming, is now listed as a 6-foot, 195-pound sophomore from Gillette, Wyo., on the Fighting Hawks' roster. As a junior in high school, Clemetson ran for more than 1,800 yards and 20 touchdowns. He spent one redshirt season with the Cowboys.
UND has taken a Wyoming transfer running back once already in the Division I era. Oscar Nevermann came to UND from Laramie and eventually switched to linebacker, where he had a reserve role in 2017.
Clemetson joins a young backfield, led by sophomore Luke Skokna, senior Dalton Gee and promising rookie Creighton Mitchell, who participated in UND's pandemic-altered spring ball at the end of last season.
Clemetson was one of 25 additions to UND's football roster, with most of the newcomers previously announced as members of the 2020 recruiting class.
There were very few surprises in terms of attrition for UND from the spring roster to the fall. There were only five names missing from the spring roster and only one was previously unreported (sophomore linebacker Cade Salentine of Crookston).
The roster included two number changes from the spring: sophomore defensive back C.J. Siegel is now wearing No. 3 after wearing No. 23 last year, while sophomore running back Otis Weah is wearing No. 26 instead of last year's No. 37.
