Another rivalry game: Bison host Jackrabbits to settle who will go to Frisco

FARGO -- North Dakota State University will host a familiar foe in the Football Championship Subdivision semifinals Friday with a rematch with South Dakota State University settling who will advance to the title game in Frisco, Texas.

A dominating win by the top-ranked Bison, 13-0, and convincing victory by the No. 5 Jackrabbits, 10-2, sets up a Missouri Valley Football Conference slugfest.

SDSU features a powerful offense that has scored first in all 12 of the team's games this season. The Jackrabbits have scored in 44 of 48 quarters, and during an overtime period, during the 2018 campaign. The team also has posted points in 25 consecutive quarters dating back to Oct. 20.

Meanwhile, NDSU shut out Colgate with a 35-0 win in the quarterfinals, just one week after a 52-10 win over Montana State. The high-flying Bison have outscored opponents by a 540-144 point margin in 2018.
