GRAND FORKS - It's a crosstown rivalry kind of week as the 22nd Annual Cushman Classic will be taking place on Friday right down the road at Cushman Field.

Red River had won 9 straight against Central until last season when the Knights defeated the Roughriders 33-20.

Central is looking for the same result this season.

But they will have to do so with a lot of different players on the field.

So far this season, the Knights are 2-1 and when it's Cushman Classic week, the stakes are higher and the energy is ramped up.

Central and Red River are scheduled to kick off the Cushman Classic at 7 p.m. on Friday.
