Jon Lee, Max Stromsodt and Max’s grandpa, Neal Schmidt, had a great day of pheasant hunting Oct. 19 during the Finley (N.D.) Wildlife Club’s Fun Day Pheasant Hunt. Also hunting with the crew was Mike Stromsodt, Max’s dad, who took the photo. All are from the Finley area except Schmidt, who lives near Cooperstown. The wildlife club held its inaugural pheasant hunt in 2012, releasing birds at several sites in the Finley area with the requirement that anyone who hunts must bring a youth hunter to share in the experience. The club holds the event every other year.
