Fargo South, Devils Lake cross country runners to appear on 'Ellen'

GLYNDON, Minn. - A story about a Devils Lake runner stopping during a race to carry an injured Fargo South runner to the finish line in a high school cross country meet continues to pick up national headlines.

GLYNDON, Minn. - A story about a Devils Lake runner stopping during a race to carry an injured Fargo South runner to the finish line in a high school cross country meet continues to pick up national headlines.

Melanie Bailey carried Fargo South runner Danielle LeNoue to the finish line at the Eastern Dakota Conference cross country meet in Glyndon. Now their story will be told in person on the "Ellen" show, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres. The pair flew out Monday and Monday night, they were at Universal Studios for a big appearance on the show.

The show will be taped Tuesday and will air later this week.

Their story has also been told in the United Kingdom, Australia and Japan.
