No more of old Ralph Engelstad Arena should be standing after this week, according UND spokesman Peter Johnson. After the last of the structure is knocked down, workers will spend a few more weeks clearing away the remaining debris.
UND officials plan to hold a groundbreaking for the building that will replace the old Ralph at the nearby UND Practice Field South today at 1:30 p.m.
The new UND Athletics High Performance Center will be an indoor training center for all of the university's sports programs and a competition facility for track and field events.
No date has been set for the construction as contractors are still being chosen, Johnson said.
