The UND men's basketball season came to an end in the Summit League championship game with a loss to North Dakota State in Sioux Falls earlier this week.

Under first-year head coach in Paul Sather, the Fighting Hawks didn't play a deep bench. With that in mind, offseason roster movement was expected.

On Thursday, the first bit of roster movement took place. According to VerbalCommits.com, UND 6-foot-9 forward Marko Coudreau has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Coudreau, of France, played in 18 games as a freshman in the 2018-19 season. He averaged 1.1 points and just more than 6.0 minutes per game.

His playing time dipped even further as a sophomore. He played in six games during the 2019-20 season.

UND's 2019-20 roster included three seniors in Billy Brown, Marlon Stewart and Kienan Walter. To counter those losses, UND has three 2020 prep recruits signed to national letters of intent -- Elmhurst, Ill., guard Nate Shockey, Savage, Minn., guard Tyree Ihenacho and Sioux Falls forward Andrew Bergan.

Miller has covered sports at the Grand Forks Herald since 2004 and was the state sportswriter of the year in 2019 and 2022.

His primary beat is UND football but also reports on a variety of UND sports and local preps.
