CARBONDALE, Ill. — UND and Southern lllinois meet in a Missouri Valley Football Conference showdown at Saluki Stadium at 2 p.m.

First quarter

Southern Illinois 7, UND 0, 8:44 left: Southern Illinois finishes off an 11-play drive with a Jacob Garrett 8-yard touchdown catch from Nic Baker on third-and-4 from the 8. UND defenders run into each other in coverage to leave Garrett wide open.

Southern Illinois 10, UND 0, :40 left: Southern Illinois stalls in the red zone and Jake Baumgarte kicks a 34-yard field goal.

Second quarter

Southern Illinois 10, UND 7, 8:50 left: Tyler Hoosman goes airborne to score from the 1. UND picked up a key third-and-5 from the 14 on a defensive holding call, although a Tommy Schuster scramble may have picked up the first-down yardage regardless.


Southern Illinois 17, UND 7, 7:38 left: UND is bit by the big play. Baker finds D'Ante Cox for a 67-yard touchdown.

Southern Illinois 17, UND 10, 3:51 left: A 42-yard Bo Belquist pass from Tommy Schuster sets up first-and-goal from the 3 and UND can't punch it in. Hawks have to settle for a 32-yard Brady Stevens field goal.

Southern Illinois 24, UND 10, :07 left: Salukis march down the field to end the first half. The drive ends on first-and-goal from the 8 with 7 seconds left as Avante Cox catches a short pass, shakes a Kadon Kauppinen tackle and scores.

Third quarter

Southern Illinois 31, UND 10, :23 left: After UND turns it over on downs following a promising drive, Southern Illinois marches to little resistance. Baker finds Jacob Garrett wide open over the middle for a 25-yard touchdown.

Fourth quarter

Southern Illinois 34, UND 17, 7:29 left: Southern Illinois puts the game out of reach with a 45-yard field goal by Baumgarte.
