MOORHEAD-Concordia College is changing its administrative structure to the athletic department, the school announced Tuesday.
The athletic director position will be expanded to a full-time position with the change taking place on June 1. Rachel Bergeson, the school's associate athletic director, will serve as the interim athletic director.
Rich Glas has served as both the school's athletic director and head men's basketball coach. Glas, who was the UND men's basketball coach for 18 years, has been the head basketball coach for the past eight seasons at Concordia, and took on both roles the past four years. Glas will continue as the head men's basketball coach. A search committee for the athletic director will be appointed in the summer of 2016 with the search process taking place during the 2016-17 school year.
