NSAA adds Waldorf
MADISON, S.D. - The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) will add Waldorf (Iowa) in football, beginning in the fall of 2014.
Waldorf, located in Forest City, Iowa, was previously in the Mid-States Football Association. The Warriors currently reside in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference (MCAC) in other sports.
“We are excited to welcome Waldorf College to the North Star Athletic Association as its newest member,” said David Borofsky, the President of Dakota State and chair of the NSAA Presidents. “Besides their geographic relationship to the teams in our league, we believe Waldorf College will be a great fit athletically and academically and will increase the stability of our league in football.”
The Warriors will join Dickinson State in bringing the number of football teams in the NSAA to seven, giving the winner of the football championship an automatic qualifier into the NAIA playoffs if ranked in the top 20.
