UND's Husfeldt receives honor
UND freshman setter Nikki Husfeldt has been named the Great West Conference offensive player of the week.
This is the second GWC weekly honor this season for Husfeldt, and the fourth straight offensive conference honor for UND.
Husfeldt, a native of Andover, Minn., racked up 48 assists during UND's sweep over South Dakota State, the highest three-set tally by any Great West player this season.
During UND's 3-2 victory over South Dakota the following evening, she registered her seventh double-double of the season, posting a career-high 58 assists and 10 digs.
With her 58 assists, Husfeldt tied the 2011 Great West single-match record set by Houston Baptist's Victoria Weathery.
The only player in the conference averaging double-figure assists, Husfeldt tops the GWC averaging 10.79 assists per set. She holds five of the league's top 10 assist performances this season.
