WEST FARGO -- Central Cass' Morgan Titus pitched a three-hit complete game and Ali Tronson hit a home run to beat Grafton 10-0 in an opening-round game.

Tronson homered in the second inning to score Macie Romsdal. Titus and first baseman Jaden Spooner had back-to-back doubles in the third to tack on six runs off four hits and take an 8-0 lead.

Tronson and Titus finished with two RBIs each and Spooner drove in one run.

Alissa Erickson had a leadoff triple for the Squirrels in the fifth before making it across the plate off a wild pitch thrown by Grafton's Megan Osowski for the game-winning run.

"It's good to get the first-game jitters out of the way, and that's exactly what we did," Squirrels head coach Scott Kost said. "Now we should be able to play our game the rest of the tournament. We just want to take it one game at a time."
