Bryce DuChamp, 14, of Erskine, Minn., shot this black bear Sunday, Oct. 8, in the no-quota zone of northwest Minnesota. "We were done hunting for the year and my dad had told us they had seen one coming out of a corn field the night before," Bryce's dad, Chris, writes. "So we decided to try it and this came out about 6:40. He shot once and dropped it. We weighed it and it field dressed at 420 pounds." The bear was Bryce's third.
