Road to state tournament: The Demons defeated Williston 6-0 in the quarterfinals, Bismarck Century 6-2 in the semifinals and Minot 5-1 in the West Region title game.

State tournament history: Bismarck has won one state title (2014). The Demons have been to 33 state tournaments, dating back to 1974. The Demons have qualified for 27 straight state tournaments.

Record: 11-12

Road to state tournament: The Eagles beat Fargo South/Shanley 6-3 in the East Region quarterfinals, but fell to Grand Forks Red River 5-2 in the semifinals. Davies won its bid into the tournament by beating Grafton-Park River 5-4.

State tournament history: Davies is making its third state tournament appearance. The Eagles took fourth in both 2012 and 2013.

Road to state tournament: The Patriots defeated Dickinson 5-1 in the region quarterfinals but fell to Bismarck Century 6-2 in the semifinals.  Century went on to beat Jamestown 5-2 in the state qualifier.

State tournament history: Century will be making its 18th state appearance and has yet to win a state title. This is the 10th straight state tournament appearance for the Patriots.

Road to state tournament: The Knights beat Devils Lake 5-2 in the East Region quarterfinals and beat West Fargo 5-3 in the semifinals. The Knights lost 5-4 to Red River in the region championship.

State tournament history: Central is making its 49th state tournament appearance and searching for its 20th state title. The Knights have lost in the state title in back-to-back years and last won a state title in 2010.

Road to state tournament: The Midgets fell to Bismarck Century 5-1 in the West Region quarterfinals but came back to beat Williston 4-1 in the consolation semifinals and Mandan 4-2 in the state qualifier.

State tournament history: Dickinson is making its second state tournament appearance. The Midgets last qualified in 2000.

Road to state tournament: Red River beat Fargo North 7-1 in the region quarterfinals, then beat Fargo Davies 5-2 in the semifinals and knocked off Grand Forks Central 5-4 in the region championship.

State tournament history: The Roughriders will be making their 48th state tournament appearance. Red River has qualified for every state tournament in school history except in 2010. Red River, which last won a state title in 2013, is searching for its 17th state championship.

West Fargo

Road to state tournament: The Packers defeated Grafton/Park River 6-4 in the region quarterfinals but fell to Grand Forks Central 5-3 in the semifinals. West Fargo beat Fargo South/Shanley 5-2 in a state qualifier.

State tournament history: West Fargo is making its fifth state tournament appearance. The Packers finished third in 2011, the school’s highest finish at the state tournament.

Road to state tournament: The Magicians beat Hazen/Beulah 10-0 in the region quarterfinals, Mandan 5-0 in the semifinals and lost 5-1 to Bismarck High in the West Region championship game. 

State tournament history: The Magicians are making their 34th state tournament appearance. Minot has won two state championships (1992 and 2015).
