BOYS BASKETBALL: Red River's undefeated season bid ends in Wahpeton

WAHPETON, N.D. - Grand Forks Red River's undefeated boys basketball season came to an end Tuesday night.

Wahpeton downed the Riders 62-61 as Jeremy Bontjes hit a 24-footer in the closing seconds for the Huskies.

Red River, the No. 1 ranked team in the state, dropped to 18-1 as it closed out the regular season.

Bontjes had 15 points for Wahpeton.

Mac Kroeplin led Red River with 23 points. Mack Arvidson added 15.
