The Grand Forks Red River Roughriders have had their fill of Legacy High School in Bismarck.
After suffering a shutout loss to Bismarck Legacy a week ago, the Roughriders went to Bismarck where they christened the new Sanford Sports Complex on the campus of Legacy High School.
And while the Legacy Sabers were playing at the Bismarck Community Bowl, Bismarck Century handed the Roughriders a 42-8 loss in the shadow of Legacy High School.
Century held the Riders to 139 total yards, but they did put their first points on the board in the fourth quarter when backup quarterback Park Monette hit Tyler Burian for a 16-yard TD.
"We wanted to score. We scored in the fourth quarter, but that didn't matter. We wanted to get that done," Red River coach Vyrn Muir said. "We experienced what it was like to score."

Muir said the Riders are taking strides.
"We wanted to get better than we were last week," Muir added. "I'm not sure we did, I have to watch film. But we wanted to get better because we play a game that matters next week."
Cade Rauser scored two of the Patriots' six touchdowns on runs of 3 and 20 yards. His run as the running clock ran out in the third quarter made it 42-0.
Monette rotated at quarterback with Sam Schumacher, and between them, they completed 4 of 10 passes for 85 yards. Monette, who also caught a pass for 16 yards, was 3-for-4 for all of the yards.
The two-time defending champion Patriots, who ran for 130 yards and passed for 161, scored on their first four possessions of the first half. Halftime was the only thing that stopped them short of the end zone.
CHS coach Ron Wingenbach applauded his team's defense but reserved judgment on the offense.
"I think I'm more (pleased) with defense tonight," Wingenbach said. "We just seem to be more in synch than we were at Sheyenne. We made (strides) on defense. On offense, I'm not real sure."
Jakob Olson was 8-for-11 for 113 yards passing - including a 40-yard TD pass to Reece Jensen - and Cade Feeney was 3-for-4 for 48 yards.

Olson capped a 68-yard drive with a 1-yard run to open the scoring. After stopping the Roughriders and forcing an 18-yard punt, Century went up 14-0 on Nathan Kraft's 8-yard run.
Red River made a defensive stand, but its punt returner dropped the ball and the Patriots recovered, setting up another drive that led to Rauser's 3-yard run and a 21-0 lead with 10:14 to play in the half.
Midway through the quarter, Century's JayJay Jacob carried to the goal line but fumbled and offensive lineman Morgan Berg pounced on the loose ball for a TD.
