“I’d like to thank the University of North Dakota for a great two years,” Kinsey posted to his Twitter account. “After talking with friends and family, I’ve decided I will be exploring grad-transfer options. I’m excited for this next stage in my life and I’m very thankful for the opportunity UND has presented me.”

Kinsey, who redshirted at UND in the 2016-17 season, came to Grand Forks from Des Moines Area Community College, where he averaged 17.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists.

Kinsey spent his first college season at Robert Morris, where he played in 14 games sparingly for the Colonials.
