UND announces the signing of two players

The UND women's basketball program announced the signings of two players on Wednesday—Juliet Gordon of Adelaide, South Australia, and Jaclyn Jarnot of Brooklyn Park, Minn.

"Juliet is a multi-faceted guard that's improving as a two-way player," said UND coach Travis Brewster. "She's played against some stiff competition that's tested her. Juliet addressed our need for outside scoring and solid basketball IQ. She has an impeccable work ethic."

Gordon, a 5-foot-11 guard, played on the South Australia U20 Women's team this past season, averaging 6.6 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists per game while shooting 46 percent from the floor. She been part of numerous Australian Junior Championships teams, averaging a personal-best 13.44 points per game for the U16 club in 2015.

"Jaclyn Jarnot comes from two winning programs in high school and AAU," Brewster said. "She comes to us from the same AAU program (Minnesota Stars) as fellow incoming freshman Claire Orth. Jaclyn has great length with shooting ability and will attack the rim off the bounce. She does an excellent job of occupying space on the defensive end. It's great to have her reunited with her sister, Alaina, in our program as well."

The 6-foot-1 Jarnot is Maranatha Christian Academy's all-time leading scorer and rebounder, surpassing the 2,000-point mark in her prep career. She was a 2018 Miss Basketball Minnesota finalist and was named a Minnesota 2A First Team All-State member. She averaged just shy of 18 points and 12 rebounds per game as a senior, playing multiple positions on the floor for the Mustangs.

The two latest signees will join Alaina Jarnot, and three other Minnesotans signed in November—Rachel Garvey, Tiahna Nicholson and Claire Orth. Nicholson is from Thief River Falls.
