The 6-foot senior forward scored a career-high 14 points to lead Grand Forks Red River to a 65-48 win over Fargo South on Tuesday in Fargo.

Bommersbach's effort improved the Roughriders to 1-1.

Boys hockey:

GF Red River

The senior forward scored two goals and added an assist as Grand Forks Red River improved to 3-0 with a 7-1 win over Fargo South on Tuesday.

Fugleberg leads the Roughriders with five goals and two assists.

Wrestling:

Jaron Lunday,

Grafton

The freshman won the 126-pound title Saturday at the Kenmare Invitational and, in the process, became the first wrestler in the history of the Spoilers program to win a tournament outstanding wrestler award.

Lunday scored a 7-2 win in the final against Des Lacs-Burlington's Justin Thomas, who was a fourth-place finisher at state last season. Lunday, who is 9-1 this season, is a two-time state placer, finishing fifth at 112 last season.

Basketball:

The senior was named most valuable player in leading the Storm to the title in the NCTC/KTRF holiday tournament in Thief River Falls. Yutrzenka had 26 points and 22 rebounds in the championship game, a 79-72 Storm win against Red Lake.

For the season, the 6-foot-5 Yutrzenka paces the 5-0 Storm with averages of 16.4 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocked shots a game.
