Malek Larimer rushed for 328 yards on 19 carries as Thompson rolled past New Rockford-Sheyenne 44-8 on Saturday as the regular season came to an end in North Dakota high school football.
The Tommies scored 18 points in the first quarter and led 30-8 at halftime.
Larimer scored six touchdowns as well, his longest coming on a 68-yard run in the first quarter.
Adam Dietrich scored Thompson’s other touchdown on a 29-yard run.

Thompson finished the regular season 6-2.
- Cavalier 64, Four Winds 0: The top-ranked team in North Dakota 9-man football scored 40 points in the first quarter en route to the home win.
Brock Robbins scored two touchdowns while Trent Karel threw for two more scores and added another on a 22-yard run.
The Tornadoes will take a 9-0 record into the first round of the 9-man playoffs.
- Langdon-Munich 36, Lakota-Edmore-Dakota Prairie 32: Langdon-Munich scored two touchdowns in the final quarter to edge Lakota-Edmore-Dakota Prairie.
Jacob Delvo threw for 255 yards for Langdon, completing 15 of 25 attempts. Cameron Phillips was his top target as he caught six passes for 140 yards.
Robb Kuchar led Lakota with 105 yards on 22 rushes.
Landgon improved to 4-4.
- Hillsboro-Central Valley 50, Kidder County 22: The Burros ended the regular season at 5-3 on the strength of a 22-point first quarter.
Jace Stallman and combined for the three first-quarter scores for Hillsboro-Central Valley.
- Wahpeton 40, Grafton 20: Grafton’s Zak Hernandez gave the Spoilers a 7-0 lead in the first quarter but it was all Wahpeton after that as the Huskies captured the Class AA East game at home. Thomas Nelson led Wahpeton as he scored five touchdowns.
The Huskies rattled off the next six touchdowns after the score by Hernandez.
Grafton fell to 5-3 while Wahpeton improved to 7-1.
