* Grant Mismash, UND, 1 goal, 3 assists.

** Jordan Kawaguchi, UND, 2 goals, 1 assist.

*** Jacob Bernard-Docker, UND, 1 goal, 2 assists.

First period

UND 1, Minnesota 0 -- Jordan Kawaguchi (Grant Mismash) 2:22. Jacob Bernard-Docker takes a penalty nine seconds into the game, but once UND gets to full strength, it scores right away. Mismash takes the puck off of the stick of Gopher freshman defenseman Jackson LaCombe to start a two-on-one with Kawaguchi. Mismash makes the feed and Kawaguchi buries it.

UND 2, Minnesota 0 -- Jasper Weatherby (Jonny Tychonick, Zach Yon) 13:24. Weatherby makes a poke-check in the neutral zone to create a turnover. Yon picks it up and starts the rush the other way. Yon makes a nice drop pass to Tychonick, who spots Weatherby in the right circle for a one-timer and a goal.

UND 2, Minnesota 1 -- Ben Meyers (Blake McLaughlin) 15:41. Meyers gets around Tychonick on the outside and takes the puck to the net. Andrew Peski makes an attempt at swatting the puck away, but can't do it. Meyers buries it from the top of the crease and draws a Gopher power play to boot.

UND 3, Minnesota 1 -- Colton Poolman (Jacob Bernard-Docker, Grant Mismash) 19:05 (pp). UND converts on the power play for the seventh-straight game as Bernard-Docker fakes a shot before making a D-to-D pass. Poolman, who scored twice in the Vegas game against Minnesota last season, hammers a one-timer through a Cole Smith screen.

Second period

UND 4, Minnesota 1 -- Jordan Kawaguchi (Grant Mismash, Collin Adams) 1:05. UND grabs its largest lead of the game when Kawaguchi gets the puck in the neutral zone, splits the Minnesota defenders, blowing past Matt Staudacher and beating LaFontaine low blocker.

UND 4, Minnesota 2 -- Jack Perbix (Ryan Zuhlsdorf, Jackson LaCombe) 2:42. Minnesota answers right back when Zuhlsdorf blasts one from the top of the right circle and Scheel kicks out a big rebound to the left circle. Perbix puts it away for his second of the year.

UND 5, Minnesota 2 -- Grant Mismash (Jacob Bernard-Docker, Jordan Kawaguchi) 4:33. UND comes back down and makes it a three-goal game again when Kawaguchi sends a puck to Bernard-Docker at the point. Bernard-Docker walks it into space and snaps a shot on net. LaFontaine is pulled after the goal.

UND 6, Minnesota 2 -- Shane Pinto (Harrison Blaisdell, Westin Michaud) 11:09. The rookies perfectly execute an odd-man rush with a high-skilled play. Blaisdell hears his bench yelling that he has Pinto coming, so Blaisdell pulls up in the zone, threads a perfect saucer pass to Pinto, who not only one-times it, but gets it up and under the bar.

UND 6, Minnesota 3 -- Sampo Ranta (Tyler Nanne, Scott Reedy) 16:13 (pp). Minnesota gets one back on the power play as Ranta sends a rocket from the left circle off the post and in. Ranta now has points in seven of the last eight games.

UND 7, Minnesota 3 -- Dixon Bowen (Jonny Tychonick, Jasper Weatherby) 19:17. UND hits the seven-goal mark for the second time this season -- this time in just two periods of play. Bowen follows up a rebound of his own shot from the left circle puts it under the bar from the slot for his fifth of the season.

Third period

UND 8, Minnesota 3 -- Jacob Bernard-Docker (Judd Caulfield) 8:46. Caulfield forces a turnover in the offensive zone, makes a perfect feed to Bernard-Docker, who one-times a puck five-hole on Moe.

UND 9, Minnesota 3 -- Cole Smith (Shane Pinto) . UND scores Goal No. 9, tying the program's all-time record against Minnesota when Pinto leaves a pass for Smith, who rifles in his sixth of the season.
