Grand Forks Central played for the North Dakota boys team state championship Thursday night at Choice Health and Fitness Center.
At least one Knight player will play for the state singles championship Saturday afternoon, too.
Central's top two players -- Gary Wu and Logan Sandberg -- marched to the semifinals with a pair of victories in the state individual tournament Friday and will meet in one semifinal.
Joining them in the semifinals is Grand Forks Red River's top player, senior Kaden Johnson, who will take West Region champion Mason Pitcher of Bismarck Century.
The semifinals are scheduled for 10 a.m. The championship will be played at 1:30 p.m.
Wu, who won the East Region singles title last weekend, beat Bismarck Century's Korey Rennich 6-0, 6-0 in the first round and topped Fargo Shanley's Finnian O'Donnell 6-3, 6-1 in the quarterfinals.
Sandberg, who played No. 2 for the Knights, topped Lucas Schell of Bismarck High 6-1, 6-1 in the first round and beat Fargo North's Michael Hallquist 6-1, 6-4 in the quarterfinals.
Johnson, meanwhile, beat Century's Jared Pitcher in the first round 6-2, 6-4 and cruised past teammate Espen Schneider 6-0, 6-1 in the quarterfinals.
Wu, Sandberg and Johnson are vying to become Grand Forks's first state singles champion since Jake Kuhlman in 2016.
In doubles, defending state champions Geoffrey Youngs and Max Olson, who led Fargo South to the team title Thursday, marched to the semifinals with back-to-back straight-set wins.
They'll play West Fargo Sheyenne's Mason Urlacher and Ethan Raan in the semifinals at 11:30 a.m.
In the other semifinal, West Region champions Corby Svihovec and Parker Krom will play John Wuischick and Jack Wanzek of Fargo Davies.
The doubles final is scheduled for 2 p.m.
