Montana State holds off UND women's basketball

BOZEMAN, Mont.—The UND women's basketball team remains winless at Montana State.

The Fighting Hawks dropped to 0-7 all-time when visiting the Bobcats during a 72-56 loss on Thursday night.

UND was plagued by a 2-for-18 showing from the 3-point line. Bailey Strand's 2-for-3 performance from beyond the arc was the only treys to hit the mark.

Montana State was led by five players in double figures. Rebekah Hatchard led the way with 18 points.

UND was led in scoring by Fallyn Freije, who had 23 points on 7-for-16 shooting from the field. She was also 9-for-12 from the foul line.

UND starting point guard Melissa Dailey had a tough night, going 0-for-10 from the field and 0-for-5 from the 3-point line.

UND post Lexi Klabo scored just eight points and fouled out while playing just 26 minutes.
